1947 Renovation

Oh boy...OH BOY...what did we get ourselves into? My parents actually admit that, upon their first visit to the dilapidated 1947 home in North Seattle that I had just closed on that day, they questioned my judgement, sanity, and upbringing all at once. We sat on the floor of the empty house, eating sandwiches, as cobwebs and tumbleweeds of the previous owners' dog's fur rolled past us and the musty smell of rotted wood mouldings and leaky windows filled the air. This was going to be my first whole-house renovation aaaand we were going to be living there during the whole process. Over the course of a few years, we did a major overhaul. No room was left untouched. Enjoy the pictures below and then check out the before and after photos over here.
